Extra sparkle added to gifts this year!

Add some sparkle is the newest challenge at Creative Craft Cottage! I was inspired to use this gorgeous image by our sponsor while putting together gift I'm taking home for Christmas this year.

Lacy sunshine is this challenge's sponsor and this darling image is titled "Snow Bunny Ethereal Enchantress".

She was colored in my favorite medium....Prismacolor Pencils of course!  I used a white gelly roll pen to brighten the white spots in her eyes after coloring.  Her "faux fur trim" (because fairies would never wear real fur!) is filled in with Stardust Glitter Stickles.  I wish the glitter would show better in the photos, but it's gorgeous in person!

What's My Favorite Color?

New challenge (#49) at Creative Craft Cottage starts today! The topic: Your Favorite Color!  My favorite color(s) change depending on the season.  Currently in October, which is my favorite month of the year, I love purple and green for Halloween!

Of course you can add orange and black into that mix as well. These 4 colors just scream fall to me...or, Happy Halloween, in this case! This darling image is by Lacy Sunshine (this fortnight's sponsor!) and is called Fangletta
Sponsor
I colored her using Prismacolor Pencils and distressed around the image using Bundled Sage Distress Ink.

I used a Mambi Sheets Halloween paper pad and cut the sentiment from one of the 12x12 patterned papers. The pretty purple foil sheet is from that same paper pad. Glossy accents were added on her eyes and the 3 little bats.

I had a roll of black glitter tape from The Paper Studio and punched 3 little cats from it using a punch found at Joann's.  Only had to remove the release paper from the back of these tiny pieces after punching. So much easier than messy loose glitter!

Link up your project using your favorite color by October 19th 2015 for a chance to win your choice of digital stamps!

One for the Girls!

Challenge #45 is in progress at Creative Craft Cottage and the theme is: One for the Girls!

I used this adorable digital stamp image from Lacy Sunshine called Kitty the Ethereal Meow Enchantress. She was colored using Prismacolor Pencils. I actually printed her twice, colored both images and then fussy cut one to put on top with foam tape.

This gives the image a little dimension and I love how it turned out! You can view it better in the next two photos. The sentiments were stamped in StazOn Teal ink. They go well with this adorable image for a girl's birthday card!

The die cuts were cut from pink card stock. I then used Worn Lipstick ink on a paper towel and lightly brushed over the die cuts so the embossed portion is highlighted.

Link up your girly creation before August 20th for a chance to win digital images from our sponsor, Lacy Sunshine!

New Challenge at Creative Craft Cottage!

My first card for the challenge at Creative Craft Cottage uses an adorable digital stamp created by our first sponsor: Lacy Sunshine!

This stamp is titled "Darla Dogwood" (link below) and she was colored using Prismacolor Pencils. The background uses an A2 size piece of brown card stock embossed with one of my favorite embossing folders. I used pink patterned paper from the Sweet Soiree paper pad to mat each piece.

Here is the 2nd card using a digital image from our 2nd sponsor: The East Wind!

I just adore this cute fairy image from The East Wind! The colors purple and green popped into my head while coloring her. This also gave me the chance to use some candy stripe embellishments and twine I received from another wonderful papercrafer, Deb!  Thank you sweetie! :)

Some flowers in the embossed background were dusted with Perfect Pearls. I mixed Perfect Pearls powder with a tiny bit of matte Mod Podge to give her purple eyeliner.  Glossy Accents were added to her wings to finish this card.
