Distress Ink Shading

In a Distress Ink Shading mood for thank you cards!

Used Brick, spiced marmalade and mustard seed for this one with some cute Close to my Heart stamps!
The glitter orange shade was created freehand with some Spectrum Noir Glitter Markers.

Newton's Nook Stamps

Sticking with the Winter Thank You card inspiration, I pulled this set out of my drawer. This cute cider cup is from Newton's Nook "Apple Delights" stamp set.

For some reason I was in the mood to play with Distress Inks and had to create this moon background using Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean. (Just made the corners a little darker with an extra layer of Salty Ocean)

I used a dotting tool with Catherine Pooler's new Silver Metallic Ink to mimic snowflakes. (as my white Staz On ink pad is now dried out!) But I think it came out cute!

Catherine Pooler's New Metallic Ink

I just got my hands on Catherine Poolers New Metallic Ink....it's amazing!

I printed a free digital dark blue paper off my printer and decided to try her new Gold Metallic Ink. While it does take a few minutes to dry, the look is just beautiful!

2023 Fall Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Coffee, cards, creativity and tons of inspiration awaits!

I decided to make winter themed cards so I can use them for "Thank You" cards after Christmas.

The coffee cup and sentiment are from Tim Holtz. I used Spectrum Noir Glitter Neon Blue marker to fill in the latte cup and small heart! I wish the video would load for me because the photo just doesn't do it justice!  The cute background was a free online digital paper printable. :)

A cuttlebug die!

Continuing on using craft supplies I already have, I found these cute puffy stickers of cats and coffee mugs in my stash from Hobby Lobby.

The holly leaf die is a Cricut Cuttlebug original and I added red gems from Dollar Tree to make the berries.

Continuing on with the challenge of using what I have and I've created several more designs with the latte cups!

Of course it's a shaker card! The elements are from Targets Dollar Section and Dollar Tree. You can see the shaker in motion on my Instagram.

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop 2022

My favorite time of year with my favorite blog hop!

Using older supplies as the holly layer is a Cricut cuttlebug die. The sentiment is from Cas-ual Fridays stamps and I loved these cute mug stickers I found at Hobby Lobby!

The red ink is Catherine Poolers ink in Rockin Red, which is the only ink I use anymore!

This card is number 158 in the Coffee Lovers linkup.

You're the cream in my coffee

Another card using Newton Loves Coffee! I love this sentiment for thank you cards, "You're the cream in my coffee!"

The coffee cups were colored in using Perfect Pearls Powder mixed with a small amount of water. I used a paint brush to "watercolor" the cardstock. The higher the ratio of powder, the more shimmer you get in the final look, I love it!

This card is number 1059 in the hop.

My cup runneth over

I'm loving this technique using perfect pearl powder and a bit of water to watercolor! It leaves such a shimmer on the cardstock.

Just to let you know, I didn't use any fancy cardstock or watercolor paper either. This is just a mixed cardstock pack that was on sale at Joann's. I heat embossed the image first using clear ink onto gray cardstock. The image was so delicate so I purposely went outside the lines a bit to add more color.

Newton Loves Coffee

Newton's Nook stamps are so darling! I love this one of Newton hugging the latte cup. To get the shiny iridescent look on the cup, I mixed perfect pearls powder with a bit of water and just painted it in!

Perk up soon!

I'm running low on get well soon cards and thought this hop was a great opportunity to make a few more! For my coffee loving friends, I loved this sentiment "Hope you perk up soon."

Remember to add a piece of craft foam on top of your card when mailing if it contains embellishments. I have found this protects them from falling off and greatly reduces the chance of the postal service tearing the envelope in transit. (I just buy a pack from Dollar Tree or Hobby Lobby when it's on sale and it lasts quite a while!)
