Extra sparkle added to gifts this year!

Add some sparkle is the newest challenge at Creative Craft Cottage! I was inspired to use this gorgeous image by our sponsor while putting together gift I'm taking home for Christmas this year.

Lacy sunshine is this challenge's sponsor and this darling image is titled "Snow Bunny Ethereal Enchantress".

She was colored in my favorite medium....Prismacolor Pencils of course!  I used a white gelly roll pen to brighten the white spots in her eyes after coloring.  Her "faux fur trim" (because fairies would never wear real fur!) is filled in with Stardust Glitter Stickles.  I wish the glitter would show better in the photos, but it's gorgeous in person!

Winter Coffee Loving Cardmakers Bloghop!

My 2nd card for the Winter Coffee Loving Cardmakers Bloghop! I really wish I had more time to participate in this seasons festivities, but have been quite busy with the holidays approaching!  Planning a 2 week drive home to visit friends and family as well.

So here is a simple one using The Ton's new holiday stamp set and some 2nd generation stamping.

The latte cups are from Fiskar's "Latte Love" stamp set, an old one but still one of my favorites!

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and best wishes into the new year!

Melonheadz Christmas Card

I'm so sorry this post is a bit late, but you do still have 2 days left to enter the Melonheadz Winter Holidays challenge!

My new work schedule managing a restaurant has consumed so much more of my time than I realized. Unfortunately, I will have to step down from the DT there. I miss my crafting terribly and will miss the wonderful spirit of the other crafty designers on the team!

I used my favorite medium on this card...you guessed it, Prismacolor Pencils!  This cute couple was then fussy cut and adhered using foam tape.

The gorgeous holly leaf die cut background is a Cuttlebug cut and emboss die called Holly Layer. Just adore how it came out on green glitter card stock! I also cut a matching piece from green fun foam sheets to give it some dimension.

Winter/Holiday Coffee Lovers Bloghop!

Here is my first entry into the 2015 Winter/Holiday Coffee Lovers Bloghop!  I really enjoy seeing so much inspiration and creativity during these season bloghops!

I used snowflakes from Catherine Poolers Stamp of Approval 2nd edition box.  Thought they'd look lovely in blue!

Here I was trying to be creative by stamping on strips of scrap cardstock. After mounting on green glitter paper and adding this handmade bow, I think it came out really cute!

Paper Crafting Tic Tac Toe!

The newest Challenge at Melonheadz starts today and we are playing Tic Tac Toe!

How do you play? Glad you asked! Using the board below, make a creation using 3 items in a row. (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) My card, for example, uses Ribbon, Die Cuts and Pearls/Bling to make a diagonal row.

The owls were colored with Prismacolor Pencils and coated with Glossy Accents. I adore this "friend" word die cut from Catherine Pooler's Stamp of Approval 1st Edition Box!

The papers used are from My Mind's Eye 12 x 12 paper pad called Sparkling Sleigh Ride. The ribbon was a wonderful deal at 0.39 cents for an entire roll at Canton Texas Trade Days!! (It was sun bleached, but the off white color still matched my papers beautifully!)

The sentiment is from Paper Pumpkin's September Kit with StazOn ink in Saddle Brown. I used a die from Spellbinders Labels and Tags Die set and finished off with tiny half pearls from a nail art kit.

My First Christmas Card of the Season!

Today marks the start of Challenge #51 at Creative Craft Cottage! The theme = Anything Goes! With Halloween over, I'm now in full on Christmas mode!

I'm using a darling image by our sponsor: All Dressed Up

Sponsor

I colored this digital image using Prismacolor Pencils and a colorless blender marker. She was carefully fussy cut leaving a small white border.

I used a flower petal punch by Fiskars to create the poinsettia.  The petals were punched from glitter card stock found at Tuesday Morning and adhered with glue dots. The three leaves were punched from vellum, adhered with a single glue dot and then outlined using Stickles. The edges started to curl while drying and I just adore this unintended effect! (Love happy accidents!)

Gold Stickles make up the poinsettia center with small half pearls found in a nail art kit. This beautiful sentiment is stamped in StazOn Opaque White on vellum and the stamp is by Unity Stamps.

Anything Goes Challenge at Creative Craft Cottage!

The theme for challenge #50 at Creative Craft Cottage is: Anything Goes! It's still October, so I had to stick with the Halloween vibe.
Sponsor
This awesome cutting file is by our sponsors this week: The Cutting Cafe!

I do not own any cutting machines. These images were cut by hand, distressed using Tim Holtz Distress Ink and glued together using a Zig 2 way glue pen.

For the spots on the witch's leggings, I used a hole punch on green card stock. On top of a scrap magazine, I held each circle still using a Quick Stick while tracing the outer edge with a green Sharpie marker.

This darling kitty stamp was stamped on yellow paper using Jet Black StazOn ink. Versamark Frost ink was placed on top and embossed with WOW clear embossing powder. I love the hint of shimmer Versamark Frost leaves behind!

This cute step card pattern was also from The Cutting Cafe. The slit in the center of the card stock can be cut easily using a ruler and X-acto knife on a cutting board or mat. Link up any of your fun creations by November 5th 2015 for a chance to win!

The treat bags are cute, but look at these darling candies!!

I'm giving away a little treat of my own the first of November for a lucky subscriber to my newsletter! Here's a little peak of just one of the items included in November's prize package...

If you guessed wax seal starter kit...you're correct! (Sorry for the glare in the photo. We are packing quickly to move this weekend and I snapped a quick pic on the fly.) The dove and 2 wine glasses are most reminiscent of wedding symbols; however, I believe this dove would look elegant sealing Christmas cards (Easter too!) and the glasses could also be used for party or anniversary cards!

How do you enter? Glad you asked! More info HERE!
