Music, Stamps and a Love Note

Started crafting with an amazing local papercrafter in Goliad, Tx named Emika! She runs Piddling With Paper and has several classes each week for beginner to advanced. It was so relaxing to show up for her class with the elements for this card pre-cut in a cute envelope and I got to stamp/watercolor while listening to music. (Perfect zen moment for a crafter like me!) She had the coffee maker going too...bonus!! :D This card was so fun and easy to make, I loved watercoloring the guitar!

All supplies are from Stampin' Up and you can contact Emika here, or shop online, if there is anything you need to add to your collection!

The inside of this card has a quote I fell in love with.

 "MUSIC...speaks what can't be expressed,
soothes the mind and gives it rest,
heals the heart and makes it whole,
flows from heaven to the soul."

This card went to my best friend with a letter to cheer them up. Hope it gives you some crafty inspiration today! #MakeItAGoodOne

Fall 2016 Coffee Loving Papercrafters Bloghop!

Here is my first card for the fall coffee lovers bloghop!

http://coffeelovingcardmakers.com/2016/09/2016-fall-coffee-lovers-blog-hop/

Adore this stamp from Funny Bones! (found on amazon.com) The ink is StazOn Ink in Saddle Brown. I used prismacolor pencils to color the pumpkins and Bundled Sage Distress Ink on the edge of the image.

The paper is a 6x6" stack by DCWV (Die Cuts With a View) called Latte Stack. The gold bow is gold stretch cord that was wrapped around a loaf of homemade pumpkin bread from the local farmer's market...mmmmm good with a cup of coffee!

Adorable Newton!

Card number 6 for my favorite blog hop!! #summerclh I started a 7th but might not get it finished in time.

Just adore this stamp set by Newton's Nook called "Newton Loves Coffee"!  I was in the mood to do a little paper piecing from my Doodlebug "Sugar Shoppe" paper pad. (Plus my sister's birthday is coming up and I think she'll love this card!)

Yes I used a lot of glossy accents lol! The cute spotted cup had to be shiny though!

I even coated the sentiment stamped square that says "a birthday brew for you!"

The finishing touch...pink whiskers for Newton! Hope you enjoyed this creation!

It's Been Oolong!

Another creation for my favorite blog hop!

I love this darling stamp from Sweet Stamp Shop called Oolong! Decided to play with watercolors and stamped this image in Staz On black ink on watercolor paper.

I wanted to play with shadows a bit and decided to put them in front of these cute images. LOVE how this one came out!

The hello cutout word die is from Walter and Winnie, the pretty paper is from a Craft smith paper pad...apologies I forget the name at the moment! Put a glitter gel on the sugar cubes too.

Attempted one with shadows behind the images, but didn't like the way it came out at all, so ended up covering it over with more blue. But that's how we learn! I will attempt these shadows again in the future. :)

Thank you for being so sweet!

Another coffee-inspired creation for my favorite blog hop!

http://coffeelovingcardmakers.com/2016/06/summer-coffee-lovers-blog-hop-2/

The cute paper is from Doodlebug's "Sugar Shoppe" 6x6" paper pad. I used Avery Elle's "Bonjour" stamp set for the macaroons and Fiskars "Latte Love" for the coffee mug.

Just loved water-coloring this image! And the macaroons had to be glittered or have sparkly filling!

Using Leftovers

I decided to use some "leftovers" on my next card for the Summer Coffee Lovers blog hop!

http://coffeelovingcardmakers.com/2016/06/summer-coffee-lovers-blog-hop-2/

I made these cute paper pieced latte cups for an older project and found one left! The colors matched the background scraps I had from my Craft smith "Sweet Soiree" paper pad.

The latte cup and greeting are from, you guessed it, Fiskars Latte Love! (one of my favorite go-to coffee stamp sets)

The greeting is stamped in Staz On Teal Blue ink. The background was distressed using Distress Mini pads Spun Sugar and Peacock Feathers.

Playing with Paper

Next card for this years Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

The latte cup and quote are both from Fiskars Latte Love stamp set. I stamped them using Staz On teal blue ink. The bow ties were cut from a piece of paper in this same paper pad.

All the paper, including the cute little bow ties, are from Craft Smith's "Sweet Soiree" paper pad found at Michael's.

Glossy accents were used on the bow ties and copper Stickles to make the small dash marks around the border.

Hope you enjoyed this card! Link up your own summer coffee/tea/cocoa themed creations here.  Sharing using #summerclh

The Start of this Summer's Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

This Summer's Coffee Lovers Blog Hop kicked off yesterday on June 17th and will run until June 24th!  As one of my all-time favorite online events, I had to create some cards!

For my first card, I pulled out a new stamp set called Layered Lily.

For ink, I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Mini Pads. Colors used include: Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Fired Brick, Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey and Orange Marmalade.

I like how the ink bled a little to create a pretty watercolor effect. May try another card using different inks!

This cute latte cup and the quote are from Fiskars Latte Love stamp set. And, of course, had to finish one lily with a couple drops of multi medium matte and micro fine stampendous gold glitter.

Tag You're It!

Unfortunately this will be my last post for Creative Craft Cottage. The restaurant business has taken a lot of my time and I need to put my card-making on hold. (for now anyway!) My posts will be less often and perhaps only seasonally, such as the quarterly Coffee Lovers Blog hop each season.

This fortnight's challenge theme is...Tag You're It!  Onto our wonderful sponsors for this challenge...

I used this darling image called Valentine Kisses by Cute As A Button! She was colored in my favorite medium, of course, Prismacolor Pencils. I used Distress Inks in Seedless Preserves, Lilac and Spun Sugar for the soft background effect. The roses were created from scrap lavender card stock and edged with Seedless Preserves Ink.  The leaves were from some flowers found at Hobby Lobby.

I used Saddle Brown Staz On Ink to stamp some vintage lettering onto the background at the top of the tag....and accidentally stamped the corner onto her face!! (big oops) Hoping it's not terribly noticeable as I put a lot of work into this image and didn't want to start over again. Finished this tag using some tea-dyed lace, gold sequins, small glitter hearts and little brass heart charms.

I hope this creation helped inspire you to create your own tag and link it up for a chance to win digital images!

Our first sponsor is Ppinkydolls and i'm using this image from our 2nd sponsor ArtiDoodles called "Gothic Deadly Nightshade"

She was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and a colorless blender marker. The black mat is actually a piece of fun foam from the craft store! I put scotch foam tape on the back to make it stand out a little more. Also found this cute silver skull brad in my Halloween stash!

Link up your creations (up to 3 please) before February 5th for a chance to win digital stamps!

Sorry I haven't posted more often. With my new job taking up so much of my time, I have slowly had to push hobbies aside. Cardmaking is a passion, but I still haven't had the time to devote to it as I would like. My next post will possibly be my last for Creative Craft Cottage. Hopefully in the future as life gets less hectic, I can come back to craft more! Love you all and thank you for reading to the end!  <3 Annie

Release the Glitter at Creative Craft Cottage!

Challenge #55 is underway at Creative Craft Cottage! The theme is:  Release the Glitter!

I'm using this darling image from our sponsor, Karleigh Sue, titled Prissy Peacock.
Sponsor

She was colored in Prismacolor Pencils and fussy cut along one side of the paper only.  I wanted to have part of the image over this gold glittery ribbon I found at Dollar General!

The blue/purple/white sheet of cardstock was scrap a friend was not going to use, so I took it to use for this card! (It went beautifully with the colors I already picked out for Prissy Peacock!)

Join us by linking up your glittery project by January 19th 2016 for a chance to win digital stamps!
