Day 2 of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! I decided to make myself use craft supplies I already have, so I created these cute coffee cups by stamping on patterned paper.

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop 2022
Using older supplies as the holly layer is a Cricut cuttlebug die. The sentiment is from Cas-ual Fridays stamps and I loved these cute mug stickers I found at Hobby Lobby!

You're the cream in my coffee
Another card using Newton Loves Coffee! I love this sentiment for thank you cards, "You're the cream in my coffee!"
The coffee cups were colored in using Perfect Pearls Powder mixed with a small amount of water. I used a paint brush to "watercolor" the cardstock. The higher the ratio of powder, the more shimmer you get in the final look, I love it!
This card is number 1059 in the hop.
My cup runneth over
I'm loving this technique using perfect pearl powder and a bit of water to watercolor! It leaves such a shimmer on the cardstock.
Just to let you know, I didn't use any fancy cardstock or watercolor paper either. This is just a mixed cardstock pack that was on sale at Joann's. I heat embossed the image first using clear ink onto gray cardstock. The image was so delicate so I purposely went outside the lines a bit to add more color.

Newton Loves Coffee
Newton's Nook stamps are so darling! I love this one of Newton hugging the latte cup. To get the shiny iridescent look on the cup, I mixed perfect pearls powder with a bit of water and just painted it in!

Perk up soon!
I'm running low on get well soon cards and thought this hop was a great opportunity to make a few more! For my coffee loving friends, I loved this sentiment "Hope you perk up soon."
Remember to add a piece of craft foam on top of your card when mailing if it contains embellishments. I have found this protects them from falling off and greatly reduces the chance of the postal service tearing the envelope in transit. (I just buy a pack from Dollar Tree or Hobby Lobby when it's on sale and it lasts quite a while!)
